Alive - Day 2

“You hath He made alive…” Ephesians 2:1

The sad truth of our humanity is that we are dead to God in our natural state. We are dead to the life of God, to the spirit of God, and on our way to hell. Our actions reflect this theological fact. Look at the human race in our present day. We see warfare, sexual perversion, human trafficking, and lawlessness on a worldwide scale. People need to be made alive to God! When they do, then things change.

Your first step is to be made alive to God by believing in Christ! When you’re made alive, you become less selfish. You start thinking about the things that God cares about. Do you think about eternal life? Do you think about where people go after they die? Do you think about the sadness and brokenness of people? Do you think about feeding and helping the poor? Are you concerned about pleasing God every day? If your answer is “No,” then you are still dead to God.

The good news is that you can be made alive today! Admit that you are a sinner and recognize your need for God. Believe in Jesus who died for your sins on the cross. If you repent and believe in what Jesus did, you will have eternal life and be made alive! You will be set free!
