How Can I Be Saved?

I Just Got Saved – Now What?

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."  Recognize that you have sinned.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  Understand that the consequence for your sin is death - eternal death, but that God has made a way for us to come to Him through Jesus.

Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  God loves you.  He loves you so much that He sent Jesus to die in your place so that you can have eternal life!

Romans 10:9, "if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Romans 10:13 "for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."  Confess that Jesus is Lord and ask Him to save you from your sin.

Romans 5:1  "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Once we ask Jesus to forgive our sins, we are able to finally be at peace with God.

Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Know that Jesus loves you!
3 Simple Steps to Get You Started In Your New Walk with Jesus
The Bible tells us that anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  Praise God for His salvation! So, what’s next?

Get Involved in a healthy, well-balanced church that teaches the Bible.  If you’re local to us, we’d love to have you join at Great Rock Church, but there are many great churches out there that stand firm on scripture.  Get connected with other believers within the church. Meet the leadership.  Ask questions. Attend services and go to Bible studies.

Get a Bible!  The Bible is God’s Word and every word of it is TRUE and applicable to our lives today.  Download a Bible app on your phone so you always have it available and get a paper Bible that you can highlight and take notes as you go through it.

Pray! Prayer is just having a conversation with Jesus.  It is how we communicate with God.  Tell Him everything – all of your worries and share your joys.  Ask Him questions and tell Him your thoughts.  God has given us His Word to speak to us.  So as you pray, read the scriptures and see what He has to say to you.  The Gospel of John is a great place to start! It will take you through the life of Jesus, show you His character and introduce you to many of His teachings.
